Very few people will have the opportunity visit the new luxurious Marc Newson designed Qantas First Class Lounge – and so William’s pictures may be as close as we ever get! Being shot whilst the staff were training and putting finishing touches to the highly exclusive and spectacular space, William’s images of the architectural elements of the lounge capture its pure luxury. Featuring a spectacular vegetal wall, spa and restaurant, Megan Morton was also on hand to maintain the perfection of the style elements of this world-first lounge.

Westfield loves Megan Morton
Whilst best known for her interiors styling, Megan Morton has recently also been venturing deeply into the various facets of Westfield’s retail advertising. As editor of the last 2 WJB magazines produced by Hardie Grant she helped create a quality publication that successfully appealed to the fickle fashion lifestyle demographic. Using her love of luxury products, she collaborated with Eskimo Design on the Westfield Doncaster luxury prospectus (shot by William Meppem). Then most recently Megan used her skills with large-scale tables settings to style an extravagant Westfield fresh-food campaign with Ideaworks.

Gravis Footwear chooses Scott Needham.
Choosing an Australian photographer to shoot the international campaign for Gravis footwear is an honour, but not unusual for Scotty Needham as he has been working with Gravis and their parent company Burton for several years. Scott has been instrumental in helping capture the credibility of the New York, urban streety lifestyle that Gravis encapsulates. This campaign was shot on location in Byron Bay, and featured uber-cool professional surfer/actor/environmentalist Dave Rastovich.

Getting lost in Melbourne with David Mitchener and Tourism Victoria.
One of the most recognisable and highly awarded campaigns in Australia, David’s images perfectly evoked the European sensibility that Tourism Victoria was aiming for to portray. Shot in the signature laneways, trams and at the famed restaurants of our favourite southern city, David’s black and white photography has a timeless quality.

Olive covers Michelle Noerianto and William Meppem !
The combination of Michelle Noerianto’s gorgeous chocolate recipes and William Meppem’s stunning photography have seduced Olive magazine (the most prestigious foodie publication in the UK) to use their story on the cover of their upcoming October issue. My recent trip to the UK was when I was first able to present the BBC publishers with the moorish story, and Olive has now become just another of the international magazines keen to use our talented duo.

Megan Morton loves Demarchelier!

When Vanity Fair USA came to Australia recently to shoot a story with Nicole Kidman (whom is filming the Luhrmann feature film “Australia”) they sent the legendary fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier to shoot a feature. Megan became one of the lucky few to be chosen to work (and adore) one of the world’s most famous fashion photographers. Megan helped create gorgeous sets and sourced the most fabulous props for the one-day shoot due to be released in VF’s October issue.
(This is just a teaser image that Patrick shot of Nicole while we await publication of the Vanity Fair story).

Kristine Duran is not a pudding!
However... Kristine has just wrapped, bedecked and baubled several of Darrell Leas’s famous Christmas nougat puddings for their upcoming festive season advertising campaign. As they were made especially for the shoot (being a seasonal product), they were out of bounds for sampling, and so Kristine and the team at Moon Design had the perfect excuse to abstain from overindulging.

Vanessa Levis knows all the Thomas hotels now.
If ever you needed (or wanted) a tour of any of the 11 bars and restaurants owned by the Thomas Hotel Group, then Vanessa knows them all intimately. From the African themed Hippo Bar and Lounge at the Madison hotel in Surry Hills, to the iconic art deco pub “The Lakes” in Rosebury, Vanessa’s images will soon be showcased on all the hotels’ websites. Travelling around to the locations with stylist Emma Elizabeth Coffey, the girls worked on capturing the different feel of each establishment, and letting the personality of each hotel shine though the images.

Scott Needham in the surf with Tom Williams.

Biotherm Homme’s current campaign featured the fabulous abs of Australia’s hottest young TV host Tom Williams. Whilst maintaining the integrity of the global marketing of Biotherm Homme’s masculine clean portraiture, Scott and Biotherm added a uniquely Australian element. Depicting Tom in his natural environment (in the water on the beach) it was relevant to the Australian men’s skincare market, and perfectly complimented the premium international brand.

William Meppem and Megan Morton do beautiful things at Westfield Doncaster
The facets of a diamond ring, designer shoes in a spotlight, a stack of gourmet cheeses and simple perfect oyster are all visual references representing quality. Eskimo Design has created a spectacular A5 format prospectus document using William’s extraordinary still life images to impart the quality of clientele that are looking to (and signing up) to become their new tenants in their Doncaster development.

Invited to Sweden by Ikea
It is hard to believe, but the original MR IKEA is still alive, and invited our Megan Morton to come and meet him and see where the furniture phenomenon was developed. While attempting not to overindulge in Swedish meatballs in the Ikea Hotel, she snuck away and indulged her passion for Scandinavian design and add to her collection of gorgeous design props.
