We have no real reason to include this entry except that we absolutely love this beautiful image that William Meppem shot recently. Summer vegetables translated into a perfect salad in a pretty picture = our kind of happiness!

Channeling Mad Max by Scott Needham.
In a nod to one of Australia's favorite film characters, Scott Needham's latest Electric sunglasses campaign has just been released. Shot for the worldwide market, Scott's ongoing relationship with this client allows him to experiment creatively. This image reference to the Mel Gibson character was a welcome opportunity for Scott to work with dirtier, grittier, edgier subject. However his dog seems quite friendly!

Michelle Noerianto's Vietnamese venture.
The Red Lantern Restaurant in Surry Hills has been a favorite for lovers of Vietnamese food in Sydney for years, and when Pauline Nguyen and her family were encouraged by Murdock books to develop a book, they chose Michelle Noerianto to style the authentic recipes. Secrets of the Red Lantern is a wonderful tome pulling together stories and recipes of the Nguyen ancestors. We got it as a Christmas present and fell in love with the cultural journey and beautifully crafted stories and cuisine.

William Meppem celebrates Australian Wine.
Great Australian wine combined with beautiful seasonal produce is one of our favorite combinations. William Meppem's latest advertising images for Pernod Ricard provides some unusual/new Australian wine varietals paired with inspiring dishes - like star anise spiced duck salad with picked cherries and a Wyndham Estate Sparkling Shiraz; crab, chilli and zuccini flower linguini and the Richmond Grove Pinot Grigio; Lobster, sugar snap pea and baby cos salad with blood orange dressing and the Jacob's Creek Semillon Savignon Blanc; and an amazing sparkling rose jelly with berry salad and vanilla sabayon paired with the Trilogy Sparkling Rose. I'm inspired!

Scott Needham captures the Nivea Sun.
If you live in Sydney, the only way that you may have missed seeing the NIVEA SUN Campaign shot by Scott Needham is if you were living on a boat on the harbour. The campaign is so prevalent that we get the impression that every Sydney bus-side and transit metrolight features the 'gorgeous young girls in a convertible' and the 'haze-effected beachscape'. The creative team at Whybin TBWA developed the clever concept of the heat haze, and then left it to Scott to capture the two paramount Nivea objectives - beautiful skin and lifestyle. Thankfully and appropriately these are also two of Scott's favorite subjects!

Megan Morton's pick of Oroton Summer 07/08
Megan Morton has provoked our jealousy again with her sneak preview of Oroton's new summer range before it's nation-wide release in-store. Megan's signature style of creating original and complimentary arrangements, worked perfectly for the desirable Oroton products. Sorry boys, these items are only for the ladies, but you would definitely score points if you chose one for your girl!
