Scott Needham's Sprite skater's crash/splash

Casting skater's with the ability to hit the moves required for Sprite's new outdoor "Freedom from Thirst" campaign could have been a nightmare for FLIPP photographer Scott Needham. The Ogilvy team were working on a concept originating from the very cool TVC shot in Thailand, and so the skaters had to have pro-skating skills combined with good (or at least half decent) looks. Now those of you who follow skater culture know that this is not the easiest ask! The lads had to jump, nail the move, face camera, land it without looking at the landing and do it all again, and again and again ..... exactly the same each time! Thankfully we found Nathan (Jimmy) Beck and Marty, and they totally blitzed it! There are billboards to prove it ...

Absoluely Andy Lewis's creative!

FLIPP photographer Andy Lewis loves to play around with creative concepts and techniques to do with ice, water, condensation and liquid. Andy's collaborations with precision-stylist Mandi are always eagerly anticipated. Andy does his own retouching and so can develop the whole concept from start to finish. Thanks to Absolut for providing the product, and with the party season in full swing ... we are finding this image not just beautiful and clever, but also inspiring in a "anyone for a round of shots?" type way!

Jonathan May's lobster lady.

FLIPP photographer Jonathan May has begun a series of fascinating studies of character's in their environments - and one of his most fabulous studies is a great old girl that creates themed scenes in her front yard every 3 months. Jonathan found her about 6 months ago and has been documenting her wonderful, kooky scenes as they change over. Her original Asian theme (complete with our 70+yrs hostess dressed in a cheongsam) was recently replaced with an underwater theme featuring local girls from the street dressed as mermaids, and a lobster costume for herself. Jonathan's explorations for talent and locations are a constant source of hilarity for us at FLIPP - and i will keep posting them for you too!

Andy Lewis's gone green!

This is another - "no reason except for it is a beautiful" shot that FLIPP photographer Andy Lewis has created for a product. We love the lush abundant feel to it.
